this post is part of a blog hop and I hope that you’ll make the journey with the others through “Regrets“—-
So you are troubled by something you did or didn’t do— Wake up! It’s past and you can’t change it.
We all have the proverbial skeletons. Let me explain. I’ve lost a father, seen a side of a clergyman that no one should see and let loved ones slip away. Not a pretty picture. While those things have had profound effects on my life, I also realize that there is no time to waste on regret.
Instead of bemoaning what I didn’t do or allowed to happen, I propose action. Fix the relationship you allowed to be broken, say the things you meant to say and generally be the person that you regret not being. You can do this! You can change the future.
Well said! Whatever regrets we may have shaped us into the people we are today. I agree, what’s done is done and you can’t change the past. I just thought it would be an interesting subject for a blog hop and a way to get to know people a little better. Cheers!
O certainly…we have shared pain lol and hopefully shared happiness!
Absolutely! 🙂
One foot in front of the other and don’t look back. Bravo, Patrick. I’m with you.
🙂
Great philosophy, Charmaine. I don’t dwell on my regrets, but do acknowledge that they have influenced my present state of being.
I agree with you, Patrick. No looking back – just fix what you can right now!
